Interesting!
I enjoy using traditional quilt block designs to create designs with just a hint of the basic blocks. Adding applique always makes it more interesting.
The second design is about weddings, with wedding and engagement rings, hearts and doves, with just a hint of Christmas in the colours of the ribbons the doves are carrying, possibly to build a nest..

Lots of space for quilting in the first design.
I joined a group of friends for a Christmas lunch a couple of days ago, and we agreed on one thing … we are all finding the usual excitement leading up to Christmas is hard to find, but it was a great way to start to start changing the mood.
Love the second design … and maybe those wedding bells become jingle bells real soon!
Getting married at Christmas time would make it hard to forget anniversaries … we married at Easter time, and .Easter is usually a bit before or a bit latter ...

Sadly Christmas is over, but I had better start planning for the next one … it will arrive before i am ready like always. Hope your day was as enjoyable as ours.
I like all of today’s designs, and a project fo r the coming years should be to add more quilting motifs to all the Wedding Ring project files …
… or start some new ones with quilting right from the first design.
My favourite for today is the last one … I think!
